Đà Nẵng Continues To Lead Central Vietnam Tourism With Nearly 10 Million Visitors

Visitor statistics for Da Nang over the first 10 months of 2024 show that this coastal city remains a key tourism hub in Vietnam, attracting over 9 million visitors so far this year.
According to the Da Nang Statistics Department, the total number of visitors staying in accommodations in October 2024 was estimated at over 751,000. This figure represents a decrease of 11.6% from September but an increase of 36% compared to October 2023.

In the first 10 months of 2024, Da Nang’s accommodations hosted 9.3 million visitors, a 32% increase compared to the same period in 2023, surpassing the 2024 target of 8.4 million visitors.
Of the total number of visitors to Da Nang, international arrivals reached 3.5 million, an increase of 31.2%, while domestic visitors numbered 5.8 million, a 32% increase.
Total revenue from accommodation and food services in the past 10 months reached over 22 bilion VND, accounting for nearly 20% of the city’s total revenue and increasing by almost 22% compared to the same period in 2023. Of this, accommodation services generated 8.451 bilion VND, an increase of 31.5%, while food services generated 14.111 bilion VND, up 16.5%.

The number of tourists on tours organized by Da Nang-based travel agencies reached over 1.2 million in the 10-month period, up 10.3% year-on-year. International tourists on these tours increased by 40%, while domestic tourists decreased by 2%.
Revenue from travel services exceeded 6.226 bilion VND, accounting for 5.4% of total revenue and growing by 36.5% compared to the same period in 2023.

With these figures, Da Nang continues to lead in tourism revenue and visitor numbers among destinations in Central Vietnam, such as Hue and Hoi An. This success highlights Da Nang's efforts in refreshing its tourism products and the unique appeal of the city’s tourism offerings.
Da Nang remains especially popular among visitors from South Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
To welcome the 10 millionth visitor to Da Nang and celebrate a year of remarkable tourism achievements, the Da Nang city authorities are set to host a ceremony on December 14. Representatives from Visit Indochina will also participate, presenting special gifts to these lucky guests.
