Vietnam Airlines Launches Phuket – Ho Chi Minh City Direct Flight from April 2

Vietnam Airlines has announced that the Phuket – Ho Chi Minh City direct flight will officially begin operations on April 2, further strengthening tourism and travel connectivity between Vietnam and Thailand.

Phuket, Thailand’s largest island, attracts millions of visitors each year with its turquoise bays, limestone cliffs and world-famous tropical beaches.


According to the national carrier, the Ho Chi Minh City – Phuket route will operate five flights per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Airbus A321 aircraft.

Flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City will leave at 4:00 p.m. and arrive in Phuket at 5:50 p.m. The return flights will depart Phuket at 6:45 p.m. and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 8:55 p.m.

Vietnam Airlines said the launch of the Phuket to Ho Chi Minh City flight will significantly shorten travel time between the two cities while boosting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Thailand.

To celebrate the new route, promotional round-trip fares start from VND 4 million for economy class and VND 15.18 million for business class. The promotional tickets are available for purchase until April 30, 2026, with travel valid from April 2 to September 30, 2026.
