Nearly one million tulips are set to bloom at Sun World Ba Na Hills as part of a large-scale Tulip Festival welcoming Vietnam’s Lunar New Year 2026.

Scheduled from February 5 to March 31, the Ba Na Hills Tulip Festival 2026 will run for almost two months, making it one of the longest-running outdoor tulip displays ever held in Vietnam.

The Largest Tulip Festival Ever at Ba Na Hills

This year’s “Tulips in the Clouds” Festival marks a significant change in how the spring flower season is organized at Sun World Ba Na Hills, one of the most visited attractions in Da Nang tourism.

Instead of concentrating the display in a single location, tulips are arranged across the entire mountaintop resort — from central gardens and plazas to pedestrian walkways and castle areas. The layout creates a seamless sightseeing experience, allowing visitors to stroll through vibrant flower beds throughout their journey on the summit.

Scale and variety distinguish this year’s event. Organizers revealed that 36 tulip varieties imported directly from the Netherlands are being cultivated and showcased, featuring a diverse color palette of red, yellow, pink, purple, orange, and white.

Red, yellow, and pink tulips are positioned as dominant highlights due to their suitability for outdoor display and strong visual impact against the cool mountain backdrop.

All flowers have been cultivated on-site by the technical team at Sun World Ba Na Hills over a 60-day period. The process includes bulb treatment, cold storage, potting, growth monitoring, and precise adjustments to ensure synchronized blooming during the Lunar New Year holiday in Vietnam.

While Ba Na’s year-round cool climate offers favorable conditions, challenges such as heavy rainfall, dense fog, and fluctuating mountain weather require continuous technical monitoring to achieve peak bloom during the Tet holiday season.

From Tulip Festival to a Complete Spring Journey

Beyond the tulip display, Sun World Ba Na Hills has developed a full spring celebration program throughout the festival season.

During Tet 2026, visitors can explore four themed zones: The Land of Wonders, The Kingdom of the Sun, The Kingdom of the Moon, and The Land of Origins. Each area offers distinct spatial concepts, festive activities, cultural interactions, and traditional New Year experiences.

A series of outdoor performances runs daily, including shows such as Love in the Sky, Solar Warrior, saxophone performances in The Land of Wonders, and circus acts at the Moon Castle. Timetables are arranged throughout the day, enabling visitors to plan their entertainment stops.

The cabaret show After Glow, designed for audiences aged 18 and above, has increased its number of performances to meet peak-season demand.

Traditional lion and dragon dances further bring the spirit of Vietnam’s Lunar New Year to the mountaintop, combining flower festival aesthetics with the lively atmosphere of Tet festivities.

A Spring Highlight in Da Nang

Running for nearly two months and featuring approximately one million tulips — the largest number of varieties and colors ever displayed at the resort — the Tulips in the Clouds 2026 Festival stands out as a key highlight in Ba Na Hills’ Lunar New Year celebration program.

With flower displays spread across the summit, immersive themed zones, and continuous live performances, Sun World Ba Na Hills offers visitors a comprehensive spring travel experience in the early days of the new year.
