On February 25, 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) officially launched new routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang, adding high-quality travel options along one of Vietnam’s busiest aviation corridors.

At 6:15 a.m., Sun PhuQuoc Airways operated its first commercial flight departing from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi to Da Nang. Later at 10:30 a.m., another inaugural flight took off from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the airline’s first passengers to the central coastal city.
According to Sun PhuQuoc Airways, joining the Hanoi–Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City–Da Nang routes expands flight schedules and service options, while strengthening connectivity between Vietnam’s major economic and tourism hubs.

From February 25, the Hanoi–Da Nang route will operate two daily flights, increasing to four daily flights starting March 1, 2026. The Ho Chi Minh City–Da Nang service will maintain two daily flights from launch. Beginning March 15, the airline also plans to introduce a Da Nang–Phu Quoc route, gradually completing its network linking key Vietnamese destinations.
The presence of Sun PhuQuoc Airways in Da Nang is expected to enhance visitor flows to major entertainment and tourism complexes in Central Vietnam. Notably, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026), scheduled to open in late May with the participation of 10 competing teams, is anticipated to attract large numbers of domestic and international travelers.
As of late February, Sun PhuQuoc Airways operates a fleet of 10 aircraft. The airline recently signed a contract to purchase 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft, laying the foundation for future long-haul and intercontinental route expansion.
