Phu Quoc Ranks among The Top 10 Most Beautiful Islands in Asia

The travel magazine DestinAsian has announced the results of its poll on the 10 most beautiful islands in Asia, with Phu Quoc being the only representative from Vietnam to make the list.


Specifically, in the Top 10 Most Beautiful Islands in Asia category, Phu Quoc was the only name from Vietnam favored by readers.

The rankings are based on service quality, travel experiences, and, most importantly, visitor satisfaction with the destination.

The Reader’s Choice Awards is a prestigious award organized by DestinAsian, allowing global readers to vote. This marks the 18th year the awards have been held.

This annual award honors outstanding destinations, hotels, airlines, and travel services across the region, based on votes from thousands of readers worldwide.

According to this list, Phu Quoc ranks fifth, following Bali (Indonesia), Maldives, Boracay (Philippines), and Phuket (Thailand).

The other islands in the ranking include Palawan (Philippines), Koh Samui (Thailand), Langkawi and Penang (Malaysia), and Lombok (Indonesia).

Phu Quoc’s continued high ranking highlights the island’s exceptional appeal.

Since 2023, Phu Quoc has consistently been recognized in prestigious travel magazine lists of the best destinations in the region and the world.


In 2024, Travel + Leisure ranked Phu Quoc as the second most beautiful island in the world, just behind Maldives, surpassing other well-known destinations like Bali and Phuket.

Phu Quoc, also known as the Pearl Island, attracts visitors with its pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, diverse ecosystems, and vibrant coral reefs.


Previously, Agoda named Phu Quoc the most favored international destination for 2025, noting a remarkable 266% surge in accommodation searches compared to 2024.

Recently, Phu Quoc has seen positive signs in visitor numbers. In the first two months of the year, the island welcomed over 1.4 million visitors. Phu Quoc aims to attract 7 million visitors in 2025.
