Over the past months, fleets of ships and airplanes have been arriving in Phu Quoc — not only with tourists, but also with engineers, experts, and construction groups accelerating key projects in preparation for APEC 2027, one of the most important political and economic events in the Asia-Pacific region.
According to Mr. Tran Minh Khoa, Chairman of the Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region, several major projects are currently underway, including the expansion of Phu Quoc International Airport, upgrades to arterial roads connecting the airport to the APEC Convention Center, and large-scale coastal reclamation developments.
