Visit Indochina recently welcomed a field trip delegation from the Faculty of Architectural Engineering and Technology of the University of Notre Dame of Dadiangas (General Santos City, Philippines) to Hanoi for site visits, infrastructure and construction studies, and educational exchange experiences in Vietnam.

This is one of the educational exchange and networking programs that Visit Indochina has continuously expanded across its traditional markets in recent years.

The program was designed following the concept of “learning by experience”, featuring a series of academic activities, corporate visits, and cultural experiences to provide international students with a more practical understanding of Vietnam’s rapid urban and infrastructure development in recent years.

As part of the itinerary, the delegation visited and worked with the University of Transport and Communications. During the visit, students were introduced to the university’s engineering training system, research and practice laboratories, as well as Vietnam’s human resource development orientation in the fields of transportation, construction and infrastructure.

Many participants shared that they were impressed by how Vietnamese universities effectively connect academic training with real-world industry practices and infrastructure projects.

“We can clearly see the rapid infrastructure development in Vietnam. What is especially interesting is that students have many opportunities to gain practical exposure while studying,” one participant shared.

In addition to academic activities, the group also conducted site visits and business exchanges with construction and real estate companies such as BIDGROUP and LPC to learn about housing development models, urban planning and emerging urban development trends in Vietnam.

Through discussions with industry representatives, students gained practical insights into project operations, infrastructure development processes, and urban development models currently being implemented in Hanoi and other provinces across Vietnam.

Vietnamese cuisine was another highlight highly appreciated by the students. Many members of the group shared that they were particularly impressed with Hanoi pho, bun cha, egg coffee and Vietnam’s street food culture.
