On August 20, Visit Indochina hosted the webinar “B2B Advantage Across Vietnam for India Market", attracting nearly 100 Indian travel and tourism companies.
Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy - Director of Visit Indochina, joined the webinar to directly engage with and share information with participating partners.

During the program, Visit Indochina introduced Vietnam tour packages that can be tailored to the preferences of Indian travelers, along with its B2B connectivity platform and tools designed to support travel agents.
Discussions focused on the growing trend of Indian travelers visiting Vietnam, as well as ways for businesses from both markets to connect and develop suitable travel products.
Based on Visit Indochina’s years of experience working with the Indian market, travel agents from the world’s 1.4-billion-strong market are showing growing interest in multi-destination itineraries rather than tours focused on a single locality.
Products combining leisure, cultural experiences, cuisine and group activities are also attracting increasing attention.
Highlights from the Webinar – Connecting with Indian Travel Partners and Sharing Insights, Products & Opportunities for Vietnam
According to data from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the Indian market has recorded strong growth. Vietnam welcomed 168,998 Indian visitors in 2019, with the figure rising to 746,480 in 2025 - more than four times the pre-pandemic level and placing India sixth among Vietnam’s largest source markets.
In the first four months of 2026, Vietnam welcomed 324,394 Indian visitors, up 59.1% year on year.
Previously, during the first five months of 2026, Vietnam had welcomed 408,463 Indian visitors, representing a 50.4% increase compared with the same period last year.
The market’s growth has been supported by the expansion of air connectivity between the two countries and visa facilitation policies. Vietnam currently has direct flights connecting several major Indian cities with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
Key products being developed by Vietnamese tourism businesses for the Indian market include beach holidays, destination weddings, MICE, wellness, cultural and spiritual tourism.
A notable trend is the growing interest among younger Indian travelers in street food, coffee culture, nightlife and heritage destinations. Vietnam’s competitive costs for accommodation, transportation and dining are also considered an advantage over some destinations in the region.
The group, MICE and wedding tourism segments are also receiving increasing attention from businesses. In 2024, Vietnam welcomed a group of 4,500 employees from an Indian pharmaceutical company for an incentive trip, demonstrating the potential to attract large-scale corporate groups.
At the webinar, Visit Indochina’s India market team engaged directly with travel agents and addressed their questions regarding products, services and tour development.
India Among Visit Indochina’s Key Source Markets According to 2025 figures, 746,480 Indian visitors traveled to Vietnam, making India the sixth-largest international source market among the country’s top 10. With strong growth continuing into 2026, India is emerging as one of the key source markets being prioritized by Vietnamese tourism businesses. India is also among Visit Indochina’s largest markets. In recent years, the company has continuously welcomed large-scale MICE groups, as well as group travelers seeking multi-destination experiences within a single itinerary. To strengthen connections with partners, Visit Indochina also has representatives based in this market. |
