Vietnam Named Among the World’s Top 10 Favorite Countries in 2026
Vietnam has ranked 10th among the world’s 20 favorite countries in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, reaffirming its appeal as an international travel destination.
The US travel magazine recently announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, which reflect the preferences and experiences of readers worldwide.

Four Southeast Asian countries feature in this year’s top 20: Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. Vietnam and Cambodia both secured places in the top 10. Other countries on the list include South Korea, Poland, Norway, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden and Germany.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the recognition highlights Vietnam’s growing appeal to international visitors.

From cultural heritage sites and spectacular natural landscapes to beaches, mountain regions and modern cities, Vietnam offers a diverse range of travel experiences. Destinations such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Ha Long Bay, alongside rural communities rich in local traditions, continue to attract visitors with their blend of natural beauty, cultural experiences and distinctive cuisine.

Vietnam’s tourism sector has also maintained positive growth. In the first nine months of 2026, the country welcomed 17.7 million international arrivals, while total tourism revenue was estimated at VND 874 trillion.
The latest recognition follows Vietnam’s success at the World Travel Awards in late September 2026, where the country received several honors, including Asia’s Leading Destination and Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination.
Vietnam’s continued presence in international tourism awards and rankings is expected to strengthen its tourism brand, attract more visitors and support the sector’s further development.
