By taking part in three tourism trade events in Jakarta and Makassar, Visit Indochina has stepped up engagement with local travel companies, showcased Vietnam’s tourism offerings and explored partnerships to bring Indonesian travellers to Vietnam.

In early October 2026, Visit Indochina attended TTC Travel Mart International in Jakarta on 5 October and in Makassar on 7 October, alongside the ASTINDO Jakarta International Travel Exchange (AJITEX) in Jakarta.

During face-to-face meetings with partners, Nguyen Son Thuy, director of Visit Indochina, and Thai My Thao, deputy director, shared updates on Vietnam’s increasingly open visa policies, recent tourism developments and the company’s travel products.

Thuy said Vietnam’s tourism sector was continuing to refresh its offerings as it worked towards a target of 27 million visitors in 2026. More flexible tourist visa policies were also making it easier for travelers to book trips and visit the country.

Destinations including Da Nang, Ha Giang, Sa Pa, Phu Quoc, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City continue to see tourism growth. Vietnam is also set to host APEC in 2027, a major economic and political gathering expected to bring international leaders to the country.

These developments are opening up new experiences and travel opportunities. As one of Vietnam’s top 10 destination management companies, Visit Indochina continues to update its offerings, strengthen partnerships and develop attractive travel packages.

The company welcomes a substantial number of visitors each year from Indonesia, a country with a population of more than 290 million.

During the visit, the company’s leadership and staff also presented its capabilities as a destination management company (DMC), specialising in designing and operating travel programs for international travel trade partners.

Discussions focused on sightseeing tours, leisure holidays, meetings and conference travel (MICE), and itineraries tailored to the needs of individual groups.

Partners were also briefed on the company’s ability to coordinate accommodation, transport, tour guides and on-the-ground group operations in Vietnam.

Beyond presenting existing tours, Visit Indochina aims to work with Indonesian partners to develop itineraries suited to their customers’ needs, length of stay and budgets.

Following the meetings in Jakarta and Makassar, the company plans to maintain exchanges with partners, refine itineraries and develop tailored products for the Indonesian market.
