As part of its efforts to expand Vietnam's international inbound tourism market, Visit Indochina recently organized a multi-destination journey for a group of travelers from Myanmar, taking them through some of the country's most iconic attractions across Northern and Central Vietnam.

The itinerary began in Sa Pa, where the group visited popular attractions including Moana Sa Pa and Cat Cat Village, before ascending Fansipan – the "Roof of Indochina" via the Muong Hoa Mountain Railway and cable car.
In Quang Ninh, the travelers enjoyed a cruise on Ha Long Bay and explored Thien Cung Cave before continuing to Da Nang and Hoi An, where they experienced the traditional basket boat ride through the Cam Thanh Coconut Forest.

Visit Indochina designed the journey as a comprehensive multi-region package tour, connecting signature destinations across Northern and Central Vietnam to showcase the country's rich diversity of landscapes, culture and tourism experiences to the Myanmar market.
Following the trip, many members of the group expressed their desire to return to Vietnam to discover even more destinations in the future.
Although Myanmar is not yet one of Vietnam's largest inbound markets, Visit Indochina places special emphasis on developing this market due to its significant long-term potential, with a population of more than 50 million. Every satisfied traveler becomes a valuable ambassador, helping introduce the beauty of Vietnam's destinations, culture and people to friends, families and local communities back home.

Myanmar, home to approximately 51 million people, occupies a strategic location connecting South Asia and Southeast Asia. The country is blessed with abundant natural resources and fertile land, while more than 80% of its population practices Buddhism, creating strong cultural similarities with Vietnam.
The people of Myanmar are widely recognized for their warmth, sincerity and they have long held a deep appreciation for Vietnam and its people.
While Myanmar is still an emerging source market for Vietnam's tourism industry, its close geographical proximity, growing outbound travel demand, improving air connectivity and membership in the ASEAN community present promising opportunities for future growth.
Recognizing this potential, Visit Indochina is actively strengthening its promotional efforts and expanding its network of partners to welcome more Myanmar travelers to Vietnam in the years ahead.
