The trip was arranged through a partner of Visit Indochina tours in India. During their stay in Vietnam, the Visit Indochina team guided the Indian tour group in Vietnam to a range of notable destinations, providing attentive services and leaving strong impressions about Vietnam tourism.

Journey across the length of Vietnam

The journey began on February 27 in Hanoi with a city tour covering landmarks such as Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area, Hoan Kiem Lake, Dong Xuan Market and the Train Street area. Many Indian tourists in Vietnam expressed interest in destinations that reflect the country’s historical heritage, cultural values and distinctive urban lifestyle.

On February 28, the group traveled to Ninh Binh, visiting the Hoa Lu ancient capital, including the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple. The group later enjoyed a Tam Coc boat tour, visited Bich Dong Pagoda, and cycled through rural villages. Natural landscapes and countryside experiences often attract Indian tourists in Vietnam, offering a different perspective compared with major cities in India.

On March 1, the group traveled to Ha Long Bay and stayed overnight on a Ha Long Bay cruise. During the program, visitors stopped at Ba Hang fishing village and explored well-known landmarks such as Incense Burner Islet, Stone Dog Islet, Fighting Cock Islet, Sung Sot Cave and Titop Island.

On the morning of March 2, the group returned to Hanoi and flew to Da Nang. On March 3, visitors explored Ba Na Hills, experiencing the cable car system and visiting attractions including Mo Stream, Toc Tien Waterfall, the Golden Bridge, L’Jardin d’Amour flower garden, Linh Ung Pagoda, the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha and Fantasy Park. In the evening, the group traveled to Hoi An Ancient Town and participated in the traditional lantern-floating activity.

On March 4, the group flew from Da Nang to Phu Quoc Island, visiting entertainment complexes such as Vin Wonders and Grand World. The following day, visitors explored southern Phu Quoc, participating in water sports, snorkeling at Coral Park, and visiting nearby islands such as Gam Ghi Islet, Butterfly Islet, Fingernail Island and May Rut Trong Island. The group also experienced Aquatopia Water Park on Hon Thom Island and visited the Kiss Bridge.

On March 6, the group left Phu Quoc for Ho Chi Minh City, visiting central landmarks such as Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the Saigon Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee headquarters and Ben Thanh Market before concluding their journey.

Indian tourist arrivals to Vietnam continue to rise

India has become one of the fastest-growing markets for Vietnam tourism from India. This group of travelers often shows interest in destinations featuring scenic landscapes, cultural heritage sites, photogenic locations and beach resorts. Destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An and Phu Quoc are considered particularly suitable for Indian tourists in Vietnam.

According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam welcomed only about 169,000 Indian visitors in 2019. However, after COVID-19 the number of Indian tourists in Vietnam rose sharply, reaching more than 392,000 in 2023 and around 501,000 in 2024.

In 2025, the number of Indian visitors to Vietnam reached approximately 746,000–750,000 arrivals, the highest level ever recorded and more than four times higher than in 2019. India is now among the top 10 international tourism markets for Vietnam.

The growth has been driven by the expansion of direct flight routes, favorable visa policies and the rising outbound travel demand among India’s middle class.

Destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An and Phu Quoc are widely considered attractive for Indian tourists in Vietnam thanks to their scenic landscapes, resort services and popular photography locations.

To tap into the promising India tourism market, Visit Indochina tours has expanded its presence by implementing promotional campaigns, organizing tourism programs and establishing representatives to connect with partners. Recently, Visit Indochina has continuously welcomed large groups of Indian tourists in Vietnam, including several MICE tourism delegations.
