Over 1,000 fireworks and more than 50 special effects lit up the skies of Halong Bay on the night of July 4, creating dazzling visuals and an electrifying atmosphere.
A Festive Atmosphere
From the afternoon of July 4, Sun Elite City – home to the Fireworks Bay – began to bustle as large crowds gathered. Key routes like Ky Quan Street and Sun Carnival Square quickly filled with thousands of visitors.
At exactly 6:30 PM, the upgraded Vui-Fest Night Market opened, stretching along the Fireworks Bay with over 30 booths offering food, shopping, and entertainment.
The scent of grilled skewers, seafood, and snacks mingled with the sea breeze. Mini street shows, fun games, and performances by friendly mascots filled the area with excitement.
Adding to the modern, vibrant ambiance were roaming “light robots” that moved throughout the area. Visitors strolled along the waterfront, enjoying local cuisine amid colorful lights and summer music — painting a dynamic picture of the heritage site at its tourism peak.

A Show Among Natural Wonders
By 8:00 PM, many groups had already secured spots along the bayfront, setting up tripods in anticipation of the “sky igniting” moment. At 9:15 PM sharp, 1,000 fireworks launched into the sky with more than 50 light and sound effects – from water fireworks and smoke bombs to wolf-howling fireworks – delivering a world-class visual spectacle in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Some guests opted for a premium experience: dining and sipping champagne on luxury cruises while watching the fireworks explode above the water. These “floating lights” anchored at the Halong International Cruise Port turned the fireworks show into a magical memory under the summer sky.
A visitor from Bac Ninh shared: “The view was spectacular. The fireworks were amazing and the vibe felt so different. Halong feels younger and livelier. I’ll definitely return next weekend.”
