A Highlight of Southern Vietnam Tourism
In the first seven months of the year, Tay Ninh recorded an estimated 5.1 million visitors, generating about VND 3,250 billion in revenue. Of this, Sun World Ba Den Mountain alone attracted 4 million visitors who used the cable car service to reach the peak.
This achievement reflects the province’s remarkable tourism growth and reaffirms Ba Den Mountain’s unique position on the cultural and spiritual tourism map of Southern Vietnam.

Ms. Dao Thi Viet, Deputy Director of Sun World Ba Den Mountain, shared: “We are proud that more and more travelers are choosing Ba Den Mountain as their favorite destination and frequently returning. On this special occasion, we would like to sincerely thank the people of Tay Ninh and all visitors for their continuous support.”
On the afternoon of July 30, thousands of pilgrims queued at the cable car station to ascend to Ba Temple and explore the unique spiritual architecture complex atop the mountain. The event announcing the 4 millionth visitor and presenting gifts to subsequent guests took place in a festive yet solemn atmosphere.
The Appeal of Nature and Spiritual Culture
Ba Den Mountain, often hailed as the “First Sacred Mountain,” symbolizes the perfect blend of magnificent nature and sacred beliefs, offering visitors peace of mind and renewed energy.
It is home not only to the centuries-old Ba Temple but also to a modern complex of spiritual architecture harmoniously built amidst the stunning mountain landscape.
Throughout the year, the area hosts numerous spiritual festivals, including: Ba Den Spring Festival, Buddha’s Birthday, Ba Den Goddess Festival, and Vu Lan Festival. The weekly Lantern Offering ceremony every Saturday night is regarded as a sacred experience not to be missed by pilgrims.
Beyond its spiritual significance, Ba Den Mountain is also a major cultural venue for Tay Ninh. Large-scale community activities are held regularly, including the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025—one of the biggest sports events in Southeast Vietnam—scheduled to launch in early August.
A unique highlight is the Leaf Market, where participants use leaves as currency, set to take place on August 2. This activity not only adds an engaging touch for visitors but also honors the simple, authentic cultural traditions of local people.
With a lineup of festivals and events running from now until the end of the year, coupled with the continuous development of high-quality tourism products while preserving traditional spiritual values, Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area is expected to help Tay Ninh reach its goal of 7.7 million visitors in 2025.
