At the recent mid-year business performance review program, leaders of Visit Indochina announced that the number of visitors the company welcomed in the first six months of 2025 increased by more than 30%, while Vietnam’s overall tourism industry recorded growth of 20.7%.

This figure demonstrates that Visit Indochina’s strategies, calculations, and long-term vision are proving effective. Not only domestically, Visit Indochina has also been appearing more frequently on international tourism forums, becoming a brand recognized in many Southeast Asian countries.

Thailand remains the number one market in Southeast Asia

Statistics show that among the 10 traditional markets, Thailand continues to dominate in terms of total visitor contributions to Vietnam through Visit Indochina’s partners, accounting for 54%. Following Thailand is the Philippines, where Visit Indochina recently opened a representative office.

Ranked third is Malaysia with 14%. Other markets such as Laos, Indonesia, and Taiwan… remain relatively stable. In terms of growth rate, Indonesia leads Visit Indochina’s top 10 markets with an increase of 2,036%, followed by the Philippines and Malaysia, both recording growth of over 500%.

Nguyen Son Thuy, Director of Visit Indochina, stated that with the tourism industry’s overall growth rate at 20%, the company’s 30% increase is the result of professional, responsible, and highly creative efforts from the entire team.

In addition to bringing tourists for sightseeing and shopping within the country, Visit Indochina has also organized many large-scale events in the tourism sector, affirming its capability in the MICE field, such as the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025.

Goals and directions for the second half of the year

Setting out objectives for the next six months, Mr. Thuy urged staff—particularly tour guides and the sales team—to focus on their work, actively support partners to bring in more visitors to Vietnam, and strive to ensure that by the end of 2025, the company’s visitor numbers will surpass the 30% growth achieved in the first half of the year.

Integrating AI into business operations

On behalf of the company’s leadership, Mr. Thuy outlined solutions such as expanding and developing emerging tour products and destinations tailored to each market; creating specialized tour products such as MICE, halal-friendly, charter flights, Catholic pilgrimages, golf, online customers, and motorbike trips.

Visit Indochina will also expand its overseas representation, investing in commercial networks in key markets such as the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand; as well as training mid-level managers and specialized personnel for each market.

Notably, to strengthen competitiveness, Visit Indochina will focus on research and technology applications in its business activities, integrating AI into management, operations, and partner services.

The company aims to achieve 100% data digitalization, digitize operational processes, and invest in comprehensive new software that integrates and manages the entire information flow, connecting international and domestic operations.
