In mid-January 2026, Visit Indochina organized a familiarization trip (famtrip) to Phu Quoc for travel agencies from the Philippines, aiming to update partners on the island’s tourism appeal and emerging products.

Visit Indochina welcomes a delegation of Philippine travel agencies to Phu Quoc for a famtrip aimed at strengthening tourism cooperation and destination promotion.
The delegation was officially welcomed at the airport by representatives of the An Giang Department of Tourism, leaders of the Phu Quoc Special Administrative Zone, and Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, Director of Visit Indochina.
According to Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, the Phu Quoc famtour for Philippine travel agencies was organized by Visit Indochina with the support and partnership of Sun World, Sun Hospitality & Entertainment, Vietnam Airlines, and Vinpearl. The program forms part of the company’s long-term destination marketing efforts to strengthen connectivity and promote Phu Quoc to the Philippine market—one of Visit Indochina’s two key international markets under its tailored “Visit Vietnam” product strategy.
During the inspection tour, the delegation focused on experiencing signature tourism products in northern Phu Quoc. At Grand World Phu Quoc, Philippine partners were impressed by the “sleepless city” model, where entertainment, shopping, dining, and artistic performances are seamlessly integrated.

Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc offered an in-depth look at eco-tourism combined with wildlife conservation, while VinWonders Phu Quoc stood out for its large-scale theme park and entertainment facilities. A highlight of the journey was the “Mermaid Show” and underwater welcome performance at VinWonders, which received strong positive feedback from international partners.

In southern Phu Quoc, the famtour continued with a series of newly developed entertainment and leisure products shaping the island’s tourism landscape. Sun World Hon Thom Island Nature Park, featuring the iconic oversea cable car, delivered a distinctive scenic experience.
Spiritual and architectural landmarks such as Ho Quoc Pagoda, Sunset Town, and Kiss Bridge allowed delegates to appreciate the harmony between culture, natural scenery, and modern design. Evening activities—including Symphony of the Sea, Vui Fest Night Market, and Kiss of the Sea Show—further highlighted Phu Quoc’s appeal as a destination offering immersive experiences and extended-length stays.

Representatives from Philippine travel businesses highly praised the rapid development of Vietnam’s tourism industry, particularly destinations within the Vingroup ecosystem such as Phu Quoc, Ba Na Hills, and Fansipan, which continue to attract growing interest from international markets.
