Taking place from April 18, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, Matta Connect is an annual event gathering travel buyers and sellers from across Asia, showcasing the most attractive tour packages and travel products from numerous countries.

This year’s fair brought together over 800 businesses from 28 countries worldwide.

According to Mr. Thuy, with the rise of Vietnamese tourism in recent years, many new and well-developed travel products have been launched by local service providers.

Malaysia is one of the top source markets for inbound tourists to Vietnam, especially in the growing segments of Halal tourism, MICE travel, and heritage and nature-based experiences. A wide range of specialized products for these customer groups are already in place across Vietnam.

“Central Vietnam with top destinations like Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hue; the North with Hanoi, Tam Dao, and Fansipan; and the South with Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, and Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh… are all must-visit places for Malaysian travelers.

Vietnam has also developed many restaurants and service areas specifically catering to Halal guests. During the middle of 2025, Da Nang will host the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and a series of events at Ba Na Hills—making it the perfect time for Malaysians to visit Vietnam,” shared Mr. Thuy.

He added that Malaysia remains a strategic market for Visit Indochina. The company has a knowledgeable team deeply familiar with Malaysian culture and people, with strong partnerships in both Vietnam and Malaysia, ensuring large-capacity, high-quality service for incoming groups.

According to data from Vietnam’s National Authority of Tourism, the first quarter of 2025 saw record-breaking numbers of international arrivals. Travel destinations are being constantly renewed, and travel companies like Visit Indochina continue to attend major global trade shows to promote Vietnam’s tourism offerings.
