Visit Indochina Participates in Promotion and Sponsorship at The 2025 Asia Golf Tourism Convention

The 2025 Asia Golf Tourism Convention is taking place in Da Nang City with numerous significant activities. Visit Indochina is one of the sponsors for this important event.

According to Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, in recent days, the team from Visit Indochina has been present at the event locations of the Asia Golf Tourism Convention to promote the brand and connect with international travel partners.

“Golf tourism is a major segment that our company has been working on for a long time, bringing high-spending customers from other countries to Vietnam to enjoy golf and sports tourism at world-class golf courses.Visit Indochina is also a member of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO),” Mr. Thuy said.

The Asia Golf Tourism Convention is taking place from March 30 to April 5, with key activities such as: a survey program for golf tour operators, the AGTC 2025 Golf Championship, the Asia Golf Tourism Conference with over 4,500 meetings between buyers and sellers, a reception hosted by Da Nang City, and the IAGTO Awards ceremony.

According to Da Nang’s Department of Tourism, this is the second time the city has partnered with the International Association of Golf Tourism to organize the Asia Golf Tourism Convention-AGTC 2025.

Mr. Peter Walton, President of IAGTO, mentioned that in 2017, when AGTC was first held in Da Nang, there were only four golf courses, but now there are eight world-class golf courses.

AGTC 2025 continues to demonstrate the attractiveness of the host city, attracting over 450 delegates, surpassing the 340 delegates of AGTC 2024 in Abu Dhabi.

Among the 450 delegates from 33 countries and territories, there were 162 international buyers, with 54% from Asia, 26% from Europe, 11% from Australia and New Zealand, and 7% from North America.

According to Mr. Peter Walton, AGTC 2025 will bring great value to Da Nang as a destination during this week-long event.

Firstly, 168 golf travel companies will have the chance to experience resorts and golf courses here, many of whom are visiting Da Nang for the first time.

Secondly, over 4,500 scheduled meetings between international tour operators and golf tourism service providers will generate increased revenue for golf destinations in Asia, Vietnam, and especially Da Nang.

Thirdly, by inviting leading tour operators from 33 countries and territories, we can expand the market and help Da Nang’s golf tourism industry become less dependent on just one or two source markets,” Mr. Walton said.

A Bridge for Promoting Tourism in Countries

Founded in 1997, IAGTO has 2,428 recognized members, including golf-specialized tour operators, golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, travel agencies, airlines, tourism agencies, licensed media channels, and business partners in 93 countries. The core of the association consists of 712 golf-specialized tour operators from 68 countries. IAGTO tour operators control over 90% of the golf travel packages sold worldwide, generating over 2.5 billion euros in annual revenue. AGTC 2025 is one of the three official events of the International Association of Golf Tourism (IAGTO), alongside conventions in Europe and North America. With 2,428 members from 93 countries, including 712 professional golf tour operators organizing over 90% of the global golf holidays, AGTC is not only an important bridge for industry partners but also plays a vital role in promoting the host golf destinations and opening up collaboration opportunities with local suppliers.
