In the morning of January 4th, 2024, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism organized a conference summarizing activities in 2023 and setting business goals for 2024 at Melia Vinpearl Hue Hotel.

In 2023, Visit Indochina welcomed tens of thousands of visitors to famous tourist attractions in Hue such as the Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda, Minh Mang Tomb. With high-quality services, Company is proud to be one of the enterprises that contributed significantly to the development and promotion of Hue tourism image.

The past year was a year of strong recovery and growth for Thua Thien Hue's tourism industry. The total number of visitors in 2023 reached 3.2 million, up 56% over the previous year. Of which, international visitors reached 1.2 million, up 361% and accounted for 36.8%. Tourism revenue is estimated at 6,606 billion VND. The main international markets are Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Malaysia, France...

In 2024, Thua Thien Hue tourism industry aims to welcome 3.5-4 million visitors, of which domestic visitors account for 60-70%. Total tourism revenue is expected to reach 7,000-8,000 billion VND. The main tourism products are culture - heritage, ecology, resort, cuisine... At the same time, strengthen promotion and branding associated with Hue Festival, culinary city and Ao dai city.

Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the tourism industry. At the same time, he suggested that the tourism industry continue to improve product and service quality; strengthen linkage and cooperation in tourism development, aiming to build Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-run city by 2025.
