On November 12, Visit Indochina hosted an exclusive business networking and tourism update session with 200 top Indian travel agencies, providing key insights into Vietnam’s tourism potential and market trends. The event also featured participation from representatives of the Danang Department of Tourism.

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Sơn Thuỷ, CEO of Visit Indochina, highlighted India as one of the company’s strategic core markets, where Visit Indochina has established a dedicated representative office to enhance cooperation and communication with local partners.
The participation of 200 prominent Indian travel agencies reflects not only their interest in Vietnam but also the strong reputation and international influence of Visit Indochina in Asia’s tourism industry.
Indian Arrivals to Vietnam Hit New Record Highs
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of Indian visitors to Vietnam has grown rapidly — from 138,000 in 2022 to over 501,000 in 2024. In 2025, Vietnam is expected to welcome 600,000 Indian visitors, ranking among the top 10 source markets for international arrivals.

Indian travelers are drawn to Vietnam’s cultural similarities, hospitality, and vibrant landscapes. Besides leisure tourism, MICE and wedding travel segments have grown significantly, with Danang and Phu Quoc emerging as favored destinations for luxury Indian weddings, including high-profile celebrations of billionaires and celebrities.
In 2023, Visit Indochina successfully handled a MICE group of 400 employees from one of India’s leading textile corporations, organizing a corporate event and leisure tour in Danang — widely praised for its seamless logistics and professional service quality.

Presenting to 200 Indian partners, Mr. Thủy outlined Visit Indochina’s comprehensive destination portfolio across Vietnam.
In the North, signature routes include Sapa, Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, and Fansipan. The Central region features dense clusters of world-class heritage sites such as Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, and My Son Sanctuary. Mr. Thuỷ emphasized that Vietnam remains a safe, friendly, and welcoming destination for Indian travelers. The e-visa process has become faster and more convenient, while the increasing number of direct flights between India and Vietnam has further facilitated bilateral tourism growth.
