April 30, 2025, marks a special milestone commemorating 50 years since Vietnam's reunification of the North and South, ushering in a period of peace and remarkable development.

Over the past 50 years, from a war-ravaged country bearing countless scars, Vietnam has embarked on a spectacular journey of revival. The nation’s global standing has steadily strengthened, contributing more significantly to humanity, particularly in the pursuit of peace and social welfare.

In recent days, alongside diplomatic activities abroad promoting the event, cities across Vietnam have been covered in red flags and flowers. Citizens voluntarily hang the red flag with a yellow star in front of their homes, along sidewalks, and in public office courtyards.
For Vietnamese people, the flag is not just a national symbol, but also an embodiment of aspirations for peace, independence, resilience, and national progress.
In Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, major events are taking place simultaneously. Most notably, a large-scale military parade celebrating 50 years of peaceful reunification is being organized as the biggest event of the year in Ho Chi Minh City.
To avoid missing this rare occasion, numerous international tourists have booked flights to Ho Chi Minh City, creating a vibrant travel season.
Sharing in the nationwide joy, travel companies—including Visit Indochina—have also displayed the red flag with a yellow star to celebrate the reunification. At tourist destinations like Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and Hoi An, locals and visitors proudly carry the national flag, radiating pride and spreading the image of Vietnam on this momentous occasion.
