A group of travellers from Taiwan recently completed a journey through three of Northern Vietnam's most iconic destinations - Ha Long, Hanoi and Ninh Binh on a carefully designed itinerary developed and operated by Visit Indochina.

Among the international markets served by Visit Indochina, Taiwan currently represents a relatively modest share of arrivals but remains a distinctive market with strong growth potential.
Taiwanese travellers tend to favour itineraries exploring Northern Vietnam and are also known for their relatively high spending. As a result, the market has become an important focus for the company's partners, contributing to the diversification and expansion of Vietnam's international visitor base.
For this journey through Ha Long, Hanoi and Ninh Binh - three signature destinations of Northern Vietnam, Visit Indochina curated a well-balanced programme that combined spectacular natural landscapes, cultural heritage, premium accommodation and authentic local culinary experiences, resulting in an exceptionally high level of guest satisfaction.
During their stay in Ha Long, the group visited several of the city's leading attractions, including Sun World Ha Long. Guided by Visit Indochina's tour leaders, the travellers experienced the Queen Cable Car and the Sun Wheel while enjoying panoramic views overlooking Ha Long Bay.
Taiwanese travellers captured memorable moments at Ha Long Bay
At UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ha Long Bay, the group embarked on a Queen Cruises voyage, taking in the destination's world-famous limestone karsts and emerald waters that have made the bay one of Vietnam's most celebrated natural wonders.
Leaving Ha Long, the itinerary continued to Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh, another UNESCO World Heritage Site recognised for both its cultural and natural significance. As one of Northern Vietnam's most sought-after destinations, Trang An continues to attract thousands of visitors daily thanks to its remarkable scenery, well-developed tourism infrastructure and high-quality visitor services.

At Trang An, guests boarded traditional sampan boats rowed by local residents, gliding through a network of rivers, limestone mountains and natural caves. The dramatic landscape, where winding waterways weave through towering karst formations, left a particularly strong impression on the group.
In Hanoi, the delegation visited some of the capital's most significant historical and cultural landmarks, including Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda and the Hanoi Old Quarter.

Visit Indochina's young and experienced guides also introduced the group to Vietnam's traditional water puppet theatre, an electric car tour through the Old Quarter and a culinary experience featuring a variety of Hanoi's signature local dishes.
The Taiwan programme was developed to premium standards, featuring five-star accommodation, a luxury Ha Long Bay cruise and carefully selected upscale restaurants throughout the itinerary.
The combination of iconic attractions, authentic cultural experiences, premium hospitality and thoughtfully curated dining played an important role in meeting the expectations of Taiwanese travellers while further promoting Northern Vietnam as an attractive destination for this growing market.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam welcomed more than 638,000 visitors from Taiwan during the first six months of 2026, making Taiwan the country's fourth-largest international source market. This sustained growth continues to create significant opportunities for travel companies to develop products tailored to the preferences of Taiwanese travellers, particularly for destinations in Northern and Central Vietnam. |
