MRS. TRAN NGUYEN - Deputy General Director of Sun World Group:
"Visit Indochina is a major partner bringing visitors to Sun World entertainment complexes"
With a strategy focused on business expansion and global reach, in early 2024, Visit Indochina and Sun World - Vietnam's leading entertainment brand (part of Sungroup's ecosystem) sat down to sign a strategic partnership agreement.
After a year of implementing these commitments, Visit Indochina has clearly demonstrated its capabilities, contributing tens of thousands of visitors to Sun World destinations and making significant contributions to Vietnam's tourism industry.
Reflecting on a year of cooperation, Mrs. Tran Nguyen, Deputy General Director of Sun World Group, shared insights about the connection between the two entities.
As a leading enterprise in the tourism industry, how does Sun World evaluate Visit Indochina's services and ability to deliver high-quality visitors in large numbers?
Mrs. TRAN NGUYEN: 2024 has been a year of significant changes in both domestic and international tourism structures, with tourist behavior trends showing rapid and distinct transitions.
With the strong return of international tourism and its contributions to Vietnamese tourism, particularly in 2024, Sun World has clearly defined its strategy to focus on the international market while maintaining other strategic international key markets such as Korea and Taiwan. From this perspective, Sun World sees great potential and the necessity to boost development in the Southeast Asian market.
With nearly 10 years of understanding and cooperation, knowing Visit Indochina's strengths in Thailand through various programs with Sun World and their pioneering expansion in other Southeast Asian countries, we expected Visit Indochina to be the suitable partner for our market promotion and development initiatives in Southeast Asian countries... This was the reason for signing the 2024 partnership agreement between Sun World and Visit Indochina.
Could you share how Sun World and Visit Indochina have implemented their commitments since signing the strategic partnership agreement?
Mrs. TRAN NGUYEN: After the contract signing, Sun World and Visit Indochina have jointly implemented plans and communications for selling products across the entire Sun World system, especially Sun World Ba Na Hills, Sun World Fansipan Legend, Sun World Hon Thom (Phu Quoc)...
Simultaneously, Sun World has been and continues to be a sponsor and co-organizer for Roadshows, Famtrips, and promotional workshops in Visit Indochina's key markets, including Top 1 - Thailand, Top 2 - India, Top 3 - Southeast Asia (Malaysia/Philippines/Indonesia).
What are Sun World's expectations for future cooperation between the two parties? Currently, with the traditional Asian customer base that Visit Indochina is developing, what new, unique, and attractive products and services will Sun World invest in to attract more visitors to Sun World destinations?
Mrs. TRAN NGUYEN: With the foundational results in 2024, along with Sun World's rapid, strong, and sustainable development direction for 2025-2030, we expect Visit Indochina to perform even better in 2025 with its superior position and capabilities.
Specifically:
Continue to develop and refresh, making the series of Roadshows, Famtrips, and promotional workshops in key markets more effective.
Officially became a sales partner for the entire system with all Sun World member units and pioneer in sales & marketing of the group's new products and services.
Rank among the top 10 partners with highest sales at two key projects: Sun World Ba Na Hills and Sun World Hon Thom.
Thank you sincerely!
MR. NGUYEN SON THUY - Director of Visit Indochina:
"The partnership with Sun World is a major milestone in Visit Indochina's growth journey"
"After 13 years since its establishment, Visit Indochina has gone through various development phases and is now expanding globally. The partnership with Sun World is one of the important milestones opening a new phase of major business operations for the company.
2024 witnessed many significant changes, with some important markets experiencing decreased revenue. Conversely, some markets saw very high growth rates, from 45% to 90%, such as Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, and India.
Notably, some countries that the company began approaching also witnessed remarkable progress, such as Indonesia and Taiwan.
With the signing of the destination promotion cooperation agreement to bring visitors to Sun World, Visit Indochina has additional conditions to expand into potential markets. Not only will this bring more visitors, but the experience of service standards at Sun World's leading entertainment complexes in Southeast Asia will also enhance the company's ability to accommodate large tourist groups.
The partnership with Sun World this year, along with cooperation with traditional partners, has led to many positive business results in 2024.
Specifically: Visit Indochina welcomed 35 MICE groups, with 2,450 visitors from markets including India, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Notably, the company also hosted a large MICE group of 450 visitors from India, with an extended 9-day stay in Da Nang.
Additionally, in 2024, Visit Indochina hosted 7 familiarization trips with 250 travel agency representatives from markets including the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand... surveying key locations such as Sapa, Phu Quoc, Ha Long, and Da Nang.
For 2025, markets like Malaysia and Philippines are forecast to grow strongly. The company will strengthen new markets such as India, Indonesia, and Taiwan. During the year, we will open an official office in Manila, Philippines, along with establishing two trade representatives in India and Indonesia.
After the Lunar New Year, the company will implement various trade fair activities in Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia in Q1-2025.
Visit Indochina.
