Phu Quoc Welcomes Golden Destination Group President and 157 Malaysian Travel Experts

On July 30, the People's Committee of Kien Giang Province approved the Kien Giang Department of Tourism's plan to host a delegation of representatives from Malaysia's largest travel enterprises for a tourism survey in Phu Quoc.

A delegation of 157 Malaysian travel professionals, led by Golden Destination Group, is officially welcomed to Phu Quoc, marking a major milestone in Vietnam–Malaysia tourism cooperation.

Visit Indochina engages in on-site coordination with Golden Destination Group leaders as the Malaysian delegation arrives in Phu Quoc for a destination survey and working visit.
The provincial leadership has requested that, in addition to the participating departments and agencies, a leader from Phu Quoc City be included to enhance the reception's prestige and demonstrate the locality's openness to feedback.
A Major Opportunity for Phu Quoc Tourism
Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, Director of Visit Indochina Company, stated that in response to substantial investments in developing products that have revitalized Phu Quoc's tourism, Visit Indochina has intensified its presence in Malaysia and other countries over the past year.

Beyond destination inspections, the Malaysian delegation joins a beach clean-up activity, reflecting shared values of sustainable tourism and environmental responsibility in Phu Quoc.
Through partner meetings and international tourism fairs, the dynamic and captivating image of Phu Quoc has been showcased, garnering significant interest.
Visit Indochina has successfully connected with and been approved to organize the Phu Quoc trip for 157 representatives from major Malaysian travel sectors, including group tours, MICE, and cruise ship passengers.

Warm smiles and shared moments as Malaysian travel experts connect during an outdoor welcome reception in Phu Quoc — an atmosphere that reflects the island’s charm, hospitality, and appeal for incentive and corporate travel.
According to the plan submitted to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, Visit Indochina will directly lead the delegation on a survey and working visit to Phu Quoc from August 9 to 14.
Notably, the delegation includes Mr. Mita, Chairman of Golden Destination Group, a leading Malaysian enterprise. Other members are also leaders from significant market segments such as cruise tourism, MICE, group tours, and individual travelers.
