From September 10–12, Visit Indochina successfully organized a famtrip to Phu Quoc Island for 20 leading Thai tour operators. The trip aimed to strengthen partnerships, introduce Vietnam’s “pearl island,” and attract more Thai tourists in Phu Quoc.
The three-day, two-night journey was supported by two major partners, Sun World Hon Thom and VinWonders Phu Quoc, both of which play an essential role in enhancing the Phu Quoc tourism ecosystem. Company Director Nguyễn Sơn Thủy personally welcomed the delegation at the airport and accompanied them throughout the trip.

Stunning Impressions of Phu Quoc Tourism
Phu Quoc Island is one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing beach destinations and a major hub for Visit Indochina, particularly in the Thai and Malaysian markets. Many members of the famtrip expressed their amazement at the vibrancy and professionalism of Phu Quoc’s tourism scene, noting that the island was even more bustling and lively than they had imagined.
The trip began with a short workshop at Sun Signature Gallery, showcasing Sun Group’s architectural and urban development highlights in Phu Quoc. The group then took the oversea cable car to Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park, enjoying panoramic views of the island’s southern landscapes.

At sunset, the delegation visited Sunset Town to explore the iconic Kiss Bridge Phu Quoc and tour La Festa Phu Quoc Hotel. Standing on the bridge at dusk, the Thai guests were captivated by the island’s romantic and dazzling scenery. In the evening, they experienced the lively Vui Fest Night Market and attended the spectacular “Kiss of the Sea Phu Quoc” show, featuring lights, music, and fireworks.
Exploring Grand World – The City That Never Sleeps
Over the three days, Visit Indochina guided the delegation through site inspections of major resorts in northern Phu Quoc Island, including Vinpearl Resort & Spa, Wyndham Grand, and Wyndham Garden. A highlight of the famtrip was a tour of Grand World—Vietnam’s “city that never sleeps”—with its dazzling European-inspired architecture and VinWonders Phu Quoc theme park.

The group also visited the Vinpearl Aquarium, enjoyed various entertainment complexes, surveyed Cuong Kua Resort, and experienced a state-of-the-art laser show at Grand World.

Strengthening the Thai Market—Visit Indochina’s Key Priority
According to Nguyễn Sơn Thủy, Director of Visit Indochina, Phu Quoc Island is a top-priority destination for the company’s investments. The Sun World ecosystem—developed in strategic partnership with Visit Indochina—has played a pivotal role in creating world-class experiences and supporting the company’s operations.

“Thailand remains our largest and most stable source market,” Mr. Thủy said. “We are delighted to welcome top Thai tour operators to experience Phu Quoc Island. The island has truly captivated them, opening new opportunities to attract even more Thai visitors to Vietnam.”
