Philippine Banking Delegation in Hanoi and Sapa
Visit Indochina recently coordinated and led a delegation of experts from the Cooperative Banks Federation in the Philippines (BANGKOOP) to Hanoi for a professional exchange and discussions on management practices with the Co-operative Bank of Vietnam.

The Co-operative Bank of Vietnam originated from the People’s Credit Fund system and is part of Vietnam’s banking sector, established to support access to financing for local communities, policy beneficiaries, low-income households, ethnic minority communities and other disadvantaged groups.
Meanwhile, the Cooperative Banks Federation in the Philippines (BANGKOOP) is also widely recognized for its role in supporting financial policies and access to financial services for disadvantaged communities in the Philippines.
The exchange program in Hanoi provided an opportunity for banking professionals from the two countries to meet, share practical experience and explore potential areas for cooperation.

During their visit to Hanoi in late August, the two delegations focused on key areas of banking operations, including governance, sustainable financial development, risk management, digital transformation and human resource development.
Representatives from both sides shared practical insights and approaches tailored to the evolving needs of the financial sector.
Alongside the professional program, the BANGKOOP delegation also engaged Visit Indochina to organize a travel experience in Hanoi and Sapa. The itinerary combined professional activities with opportunities to explore local culture, daily life and landscapes.
In Hanoi, the delegation experienced a city rich in history and heritage, from the Old Quarter and cultural landmarks to local cuisine and its distinctive urban rhythm. Sapa offered a contrasting experience, with the mountainous landscapes of northwestern Vietnam, ethnic cultures and activities connected to local community life.
Business trips that combine conferences, professional exchanges and leisure experiences are an increasingly popular travel trend, with Visit Indochina having recently welcomed a growing number of international groups to Vietnam through such programs.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, demand for experiential, personalized, and sustainable travel continues to grow in 2026, with products centered around local culture, nature and communities receiving increasing attention.
Vietnam’s tourism sector continues to maintain its growth momentum. In the first six months of 2026, the country welcomed approximately 12.3 million international visitors, up 14.9% year-on-year. The tourism industry has set a target of welcoming 25 million international visitors for the full year, while domestic travelers remain an important source market.
For groups combining business activities and travel, Visit Indochina directly coordinates the entire program, from facilitating professional exchanges between organizations to designing and operating the travel itinerary in Vietnam.
This integrated approach helps ensure that professional engagements and leisure experiences are arranged seamlessly, adding greater value to business trips that incorporate travel.
This is also one of the key service areas in which Visit Indochina has strong expertise and capabilities in Vietnam.
