Da Nang Welcomes Record Number Of Visitors In Just 6 Nights Of International Fireworks Competition

Data from units synthesizing the Da Nang Fireworks Festival season just ended shows that Da Nang welcomed nearly 2 million visitors, a record number ever in a fireworks competition.
The 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival took place from May 31 to July 12, Da Nang's tourism industry witnessed a spectacular rebound in the number of visitors and tourism revenue.
It is estimated that accommodation establishments served more than 1.88 million visitors (an increase of 26% compared to the 2024 fireworks season). Of these, nearly 770,000 were international visitors, and nearly 1.11 million were domestic visitors.
Notably, during the 6 days of the fireworks festival competition nights, the number of guests staying also recorded outstanding growth - reaching about 504,000 (an increase of 39% compared to the previous fireworks season.)
On average, each night of Da Nang fireworks welcomes over 200,000 international visitors (up 46%), domestic visitors reach over 300,000 (up 36%).
Total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services during the festival is estimated at VND5,600 billion, - nearly double 45% compared to the same period in 2024.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, in the next 5 years, the fireworks festival will continue to play a role as a driving force to promote the development of the cultural and tourism industry of Da Nang City.
The Da Nang fireworks event started in 2008, initially rotating every 2 years. Given the attraction of this tourism event, Da Nang decided to upgrade and socialize it.
For many years, the fireworks festival has been held every summer, becoming a highlight attracting visitors from all over the world.
In 2025, Da Nang aims to welcome more than 11.9 million visitors, including nearly 4.8 million international visitors. Tourism revenue is expected to reach over 36,000 billion VND.
