Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 to Open on May 30

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 will officially return on May 30, 2026, promising a larger scale and more spectacular performances as one of Vietnam’s most iconic international events.

According to the official plan, DIFF 2026 is jointly organized by the Da Nang People’s Committee and Sun Group, with the participation of 10 professional fireworks teams representing leading pyrotechnic companies from around the world. Vietnam will be represented by the Da Nang Fireworks Team and Z21 Vina Pyrotech, while international teams come from China, Italy, Germany, Portugal, France, Japan, Macau, and Australia.

The festival is scheduled to feature six competition nights, running from May 30 to July 11, 2026, under the theme “Da Nang – United Horizons.” The fireworks displays and spectator stands will continue to be staged along both banks of the Han River, maintaining the iconic riverside setting that has become synonymous with the festival’s global identity.

Originally launched as a small-scale fireworks competition, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has grown into one of Vietnam’s most prominent tourism events, drawing large numbers of domestic and international visitors each year. During the festival period, Da Nang’s city center comes alive with vibrant night-time activities as spectators gather to enjoy high-caliber fireworks performances delivered by world-renowned teams.

In recent years, DIFF has been continuously upgraded, integrating a wider range of tourism experiences that encourage visitors to extend their stays. Alongside the fireworks shows, travelers often combine their trips with visits to nearby destinations such as Hoi An Ancient Town, Ba Na Hills, and the Imperial City of Hue, contributing to strong tourism spillover across Central Vietnam.
