On June 18th, a delegation of 72 guests from the Philippines concluded a memorable 8-day, 7-night journey across Indochina, exploring Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
Organized by Visit Indochina, this special MICE group combined tourism with professional exchange, fostering international cooperation and practical learning experiences.
MICE travel remains one of Visit Indochina’s core strengths, with the company having successfully welcomed large-scale MICE groups—sometimes numbering in the hundreds—from major Indian corporations through Da Nang. This latest Philippine delegation further reinforces Visit Indochina’s capabilities in handling diverse and purpose-driven group travel.
The 72 guests, primarily senior officials, staff, and leaders from agricultural cooperatives in the Philippines, joined the trip with clear objectives: to learn from regional models, expand their perspectives, and seek effective practices that could be adapted to their cooperatives back home.
Over eight days, the delegation visited key destinations across all three countries, blending cultural exploration with productive engagements and site visits.
In Thailand, the group visited the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), a prominent institution supporting farmers through financial services. The itinerary also included sightseeing at Wat Phra Yai, Khao Chi Chan (Buddha Mountain), the lush Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, and cultural performances featuring elephants. The group enjoyed a luxury buffet dinner cruise in Bangkok and visits to iconic temples such as Wat Benchamabophit and Wat Arun.
In Cambodia, delegates explored Ecofarm – Sovatepheap Thoamacheat Organic Agricultural Cooperative, gaining insight into sustainable farming models. Cultural highlights included tours of the world-renowned Angkor Wat complex, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm, and the South Gate of Angkor Thom.
In Vietnam, the Visit Indochina team, well-versed in local culture, guided the group through Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region. A key highlight was the site visit to Saigon Co.op, Vietnam’s leading modern retail and distribution cooperative model. Other memorable stops included the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, Central Post Office, and shopping at Saigon Square. In the Mekong Delta, the group experienced the charm of My Tho and Con Phung Island.
