10 Leading Philippine Travel Agencies Explore Central Vietnam on a Familiarization Trip
Previously honored at the Visit Viet Nam Awards 2025, representatives from 10 leading Philippine travel agencies recently visited Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An to explore new tourism products for Filipino travelers visiting Vietnam.
Visit Indochina has successfully concluded a four-day familiarization trip for representatives from 10 Philippine travel agencies recognized for their outstanding performance in bringing tourists to Vietnam.
Partners impressed by the beauty of Hue, Hoi An, and Da Nang
During the four-day, three-night journey through Central Vietnam, the delegation experienced a range of the region’s signature tourism offerings, combining cultural heritage, entertainment, and shopping.
The Famtrip delegation arrived in Hue wearing traditional Vietnamese attire.
The first stop was Hue, where the Visit Indochina team accompanied the Philippine representatives as they tried on traditional áo ngũ thân, visited the Imperial City and An Dinh Palace, and enjoyed a boat trip along the Perfume River.
A special surprise awaited the delegation at Ngo Mon Gate, where they were personally welcomed by Mr. Nguyễn Lê Minh Tuấn, Deputy Director of the Hue City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center.
Mr. Tuấn expressed his appreciation to the delegation and Visit Indochina for choosing Hue as a destination on their itinerary. He also introduced Hue’s tourism offerings and highlighted distinctive experiences available to visitors to the former imperial capital.

On October 22, the delegation traveled to Da Nang to visit Sun World Ba Na Hills, a popular attraction frequently included in Central Vietnam itineraries for international visitors.
On the final day, the group explored Hoi An Ancient Town before returning to Da Nang, where they visited Han Market to learn about local specialties and souvenirs catering to travelers’ shopping interests.
Unlike previous famtrips, this program was designed to give partners opportunities to experience the services currently offered by Visit Indochina firsthand, alongside destination visits.

These experiences enabled the participating agencies to assess product quality, tour organization capabilities, and suitability for Filipino travelers before introducing and selling the tours in their home market.
Visit Indochina expands its product portfolio and explores opportunities from new air routes
Following the destination visits, the delegation attended a business meeting at Visit Indochina’s new office in Da Nang on the final day of their stay.
Representing the company, Mr. Nguyễn Sơn Thủy, Director of Visit Indochina, introduced its B2B Portal, current tourism product portfolio, and the policies and benefits available to partner travel agencies.

Alongside its established destinations, Visit Indochina has expanded its offerings to include Tam Dao, Ha Giang, and Phu Quoc, providing more choices for Filipino travelers visiting Vietnam. Participants also discussed plans for an air route connecting Manila and Phu Quoc.
The proposed connection was seen as an opportunity for travel agencies to develop additional tour programs alongside their existing Central Vietnam itineraries.
During the meeting, Mr. Thủy thanked the Philippine partners for their continued trust and cooperation.
He affirmed that Visit Indochina would continue improving service quality, expanding its product portfolio, and developing further policies to support partners’ business activities.
The company is also preparing new benefits for travel agencies as part of the Visit Viet Nam Awards 2026 program.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Visit Indochina presented commemorative gifts to its partners. Both sides continued discussions on future cooperation and the development of Vietnam tour programs for Filipino travelers.
About the 10 Visit Viet Nam Awards recipients
The 10 agencies participating in this Central Vietnam famtrip were among the outstanding businesses honored by Visit Indochina at the Visit Viet Nam Awards 2025.
The awards recognize travel agencies that have made significant contributions to selling Vietnam tours and bringing Filipino travelers to the country.

First held in 2025, the awards selected 10 outstanding businesses from approximately 1,000 travel companies across the Philippines.
Recipients were evaluated across three performance categories: regularly scheduled group tours, or series tours; MICE travel—meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions; and tour sales performance.
Despite being held for the first time in 2025, the Visit Viet Nam Awards attracted strong interest from the Philippine travel community. Tourism industry and government representatives also attended and provided guidance for the event.
Mr. Nguyễn Sơn Thủy confirmed that the awards would be held annually, serving as a platform to connect partners and encourage Philippine travel businesses to further develop and promote Vietnam tourism products.
