A Philippine delegation recently conducted a working and professional exchange program in Da Nang while surveying several destinations in Da Nang and Hoi An.

Co-organized by Visit Indochina, the program combined local governance exchanges with experiences of tourism, culture and resort products in the Central region.
The program's highlight was a working session at the Da Nang Department of Home Affairs themed "Local Governance Program on Awards and Incentive Policies to Enhance Service Quality". During the session, Philippine delegates exchanged experiences in local governance, incentive mechanisms and solutions to improve operational efficiency and public sector service quality. This activity also allowed delegates to understand the organization, operation and evaluation of local service quality, thereby strengthening mutual experience exchange.
Following the working program, the delegation surveyed destinations across Da Nang and Hoi An.
In Hoi An, the ancient town, with its wooden houses, assembly halls, cultural spaces and traditional craft villages, remains a major attraction for international visitors. Beyond the ancient town, locations such as Kim Bong carpentry village, Tra Que vegetable village, Thanh Ha pottery village, and Cam Thanh coconut forest are being developed into cultural and eco-tourism experiences tied to local life.

Meanwhile, Ba Na Hills offers a different style of tourism in Da Nang, combining mountain landscapes and climate with amusement and entertainment complexes. In 2026, the Sun World Ba Na Hills resort continues to add new products, including the Eric Kayser French Bakery, while its hotel system is also expanding in September.
Da Nang is accelerating the renewal of its products and expanding its destination ecosystem, ranging from beach and resort tourism to culture, heritage, and events. The city is also hosting numerous events in 2026, connecting the central space with Hoi An and the southern areas of the city.
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first seven months of 2026, accommodation establishments in the city served over 12.1 million visitors, a 24.8% increase year-on-year. International arrivals maintain a diverse demographic, with the Philippine market accounting for 3.39% of international visitors in July.
The presence of Philippine tourists aligns with Da Nang's trend of diversifying its international markets. The city continues to expand aviation connections, promote destinations and develop products suitable for various tourist segments.
